Natural Remedies to Prevent Dry Eyes
Dry eye is an ailment that arises when your eyes fail to release enough natural tears. 4. Humidifier
The type of environment you live in can contribute to having dry eyes. Stay in a smoke – free environment and cease using conditioners and fans directly to your face.
5. Blink
Focusing your eyes on a specific object curbs the number of times that you blink each minute. This as well contributes to dry eyes and therefore you should think of blinking more often to keep your eyes moist. Try closing your eyes for about 20 seconds after every 20 minutes.
6. Stay hydrated
Doctors always recommend keeping your body hydrated to keep a healthy life and this includes your eyes as well. Drinking more glasses of water each day is a great remedy to keep your eyes wet and moist. You could come up with a schedule and aim to take at least 10 glasses of water each day. Doctors also recommend opting for other liquids and water-rich foods for people who do not prefer taking plain water. However the drinks should be non-alcoholic.
7. Wear sunglasses
Well, this prevents dry eyes by ensuring no kind of particle gets into contact with the eye. Sunglasses are a good option if you are outside the house especially on a windy day. You should also avoid blowing air from a fan, air conditioner or a dryer as this would cause more harm to your eyes.
